VIP & Protocol Car Service in India

Protocol movement is not luxury rental with a better car. It is a planning exercise where the route, the timing, the driver vetting and the fallback matter more than the badge on the bonnet. Commutec runs delegation and VIP movement across Indian cities with route recce, convoy sequencing, vetted chauffeurs and a control tower watching the whole run in real time.

What a protocol booking includes beyond the car

  • Route recce ahead of the movement date, with primary and alternate routes documented
  • Convoy sequencing — lead, principal, support and baggage vehicles in a defined order
  • Chauffeurs vetted beyond standard police verification, with the same crew across the visit
  • Timing built backwards from the fixed commitment, not forwards from the pickup
  • Control-tower oversight on live tracking for the duration of the movement
  • A defined fallback: standby vehicle, standby driver and a named escalation contact

Where protocol movement is booked

  • Government, ministry and diplomatic delegation visits
  • Board, chairman and global-leadership visits to Indian operations
  • Investor roadshows and analyst days with tight multi-stop timing
  • International conference and summit delegate movement
  • Media, celebrity and brand-ambassador movement around launches
  • High-value client hosting where the arrival is part of the relationship

How we plan a multi-city delegation

One coordinator owns the whole visit across cities rather than each city owning its own leg. The same standard of vehicle and the same briefing format apply in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, the itinerary is a single live document, and the control tower hands over between cities rather than restarting. That continuity is usually what separates a delegation visit that runs to time from one that does not.

Discretion and information handling

  • Itineraries shared on a need-to-know basis with named crew only
  • No route or guest detail discussed on open vendor groups
  • Chauffeurs briefed on non-disclosure as part of the assignment
  • Trip records retained under our privacy policy and available to you on request

Frequently asked questions

What does a VIP or protocol car service cost in India?

The vehicle bands are the same as luxury rental — an S-Class or 7 Series at ₹28,000–42,000 for 8hr/80km, luxury SUVs at ₹18,000–24,000. Protocol planning, route recce, convoy coordination and standby vehicles are quoted on top, based on the number of vehicles and the length of the visit.

Do you provide escort or security vehicles?

We provide convoy sequencing, support and standby vehicles, and coordinate with your security provider or the relevant authority. Armed protection is not something we supply directly; we plan the transport around whatever protection arrangement you have.

Can you handle a multi-city delegation visit?

Yes, and it is the format we prefer. One coordinator owns the full itinerary across cities with a consistent vehicle standard and a single live document, so nothing restarts at each new airport.

How much notice do you need for a protocol movement?

A week is comfortable for a single-city visit; two to three weeks for a multi-city delegation, mainly so the route recce and driver vetting can be done properly rather than assumed.
